Printing Printing industry gases are mainly used to clean the printing presses with carbon dioxide pellets (dry ice blasting) and to create an inert atmosphere for UV or EB curing

Dry ice cleaning

During the printing process most parts of the printing press get contaminated by all kinds of substances like dried ink, paper dust, grease, oil, coatings, varnish, etc.  

The conventional cleaning methods need aggressive solvents and long downtimes.

Using the dry ice cleaning process CRYOCLEAN®  gives substantial benefits. The cleaning agent is very soft and the cleaning takes a fraction of the time needed before.


UV and EB curing under inert conditions

UV and EB curing under oxygen reduced conditions improves the product properties and reduces the production costs.
Mainly nitrogen is used to eliminate the oxygen.
